Visitors to Ja\u00e9n will notice the abundance of olive production in the region. In the interest of promoting an understanding of this tradition, Ja\u00e9n offers you the Centre for Interpretation of Olive Oil and Olive Groves, one of the most important educational resources for the Spanish olive oil industry. In our museum, past traditional\u00a0 cultivation and milling methods meet the concepts underlying modern techniques.<\/p>\n

This is a space to promote the living culture of Olive Groves and Olive Oil, encompassing the most significant features of Ja\u00e9n. The Centre for Interpretation provides a learning environment where visitors can experience Olive Oil and Olive Groves with all five senses, learning and tasting the ancient culture of our olive oil.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Our museum offers an insight into the cultivation, harvesting and production processes of olive oil from ancient times to the state of the art extraction techniques we use today. We present an interactive space where our information panels and videos plot the history of the olive, how oil is currently produced, its use in food and other products and the plethora of benefits it provides to your health.<\/p>\n

In the yard you will find a space dedicated to historic production techniques, giving you a tour from the olive tree to the mill.<\/p>\n

Our showrooms also host a variety of crafts, painting, literature and furniture which reflect the rich cultural heritage which originates in this province.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Como principal exponente del turismo, la Provincia de Ja\u00e9n pone a disposici\u00f3n del visitante este Centro de Interpretaci\u00f3n siendo uno de los m\u00e1s importantes a nivel nacional sobre la tem\u00e1tica de Olivar y el Aceite. Un espacio para promocionar la cultura viva del Olivar y su Aceite, recogiendo y dinamizando los aspectos m\u00e1s signi\ufb01cativos de la Provincia de Ja\u00e9n.<\/p>

Un entorno educativo donde los visitantes puedan tener una experiencia \u00fanica, a trav\u00e9s de sus cinco sentidos, que les permita acercarse y profundizar en esta cultura milenaria, combinando el intercambio de conocimientos con el desarrollo de actividades.<\/p>

El Museo nos ofrece \u00a0una visi\u00f3n del modo de vida, maquinaria y utensilios del cultivo del olivo y la producci\u00f3n del aceite de oliva virgen extra, desde la antiguedad, adem\u00e1s de un espacio moderno e interactivo,\u00a0donde a \u00a0trav\u00e9s de paneles audiovisuales aprender\u00e1s desde la historia del olivar, las distintas formas de elaboraci\u00f3n del aceite de oliva virgen, gastronom\u00eda, usos del aceite, \u00a0hasta las bondades de nuestro virgen extra.<\/p>

En el patio, encontrar\u00e1s un espacio dedicado a la historia haciendo un completo recorrido del proceso de producci\u00f3n, desde el olivo hasta la bodega.<\/p>

Tambi\u00e9n contamos con salas de exposiciones itinerantes con piezas de artesan\u00eda, pintura, literatura y muebles, que reflejan el gran patrimonio cultural que se ha creado con el paso del tiempo.<\/p>
